Arch Initiatives provide assessment, interventions and referral for people who use drugs and/or alcohol, who have been arrested for an offence. This may be in police custody (immediately following arrest) or later at Trident House.

If you are arrested and drug tested, and test positive for opiates or cocaine, you will be assessed by an Arch worker who can then provide some brief counselling treatment, give you advice, and refer you to another drug service for longer-term treatment if this is appropriate for you. If you are arrested and do not test positive, but you do have a drug problem, you can ask to speak to an Arch worker who will still be able to help you.

If you are arrested and alcohol is a contributory factor (or if you declare that you want help with your alcohol use), you'll have the option of speaking to an Arch worker who will be able to help you by offering advice, brief interventions and referral into longer-term treatment if this is appropriate.
